Fishin' On Christmas
"Now, you've heard songs about Santa Claus and reindeer, but have you heard the new Christmas song about two brothers who go fishing on Christmas?" Filmed on location in the Mt. Hood National Forest before we even had a bounced version of the song, Fishin' on Christmas was a little treat of a tune that came out of long nights as students in the Cinematic Arts building.
Lyrics:
We’re fishing on Christmas and I’m wishing for you
We’re fishing on Christmas and I’m wishing for you
We’re stuck along the river luring in a good catch
Bobbers in the water tempting fishies with snacks
And man oh man we’re longing for a dinner at home
But better sing to you instead of fishing alone
We’re fishing on Christmas and I’m wishing for you
We’re sitting, and missin’ Momma’s hawt food
Her bean pie and ribeye and mashed taters too
Now we’ve got some furry friends that you ought to meet
Squirrel and chip and deer and moose they all love to eat
Give em nibbles and a crumb of this and that
Soon they’ve got our arms and legs, tit for tat
But don’t you fret cause we’ve still got our fishing poles
Luring in the fishies for our momma back home
We’re fishing on Christmas and I’m wishing for you
We’re armless and legless so queue the kazoos
There’s not much more that we can do or sing today
Chip and moose are chewing up our limbs, hooray!
So hug your mom and pop and share the Christmas cheer
We’ll just freeze and rot to death and and have a beer
We’re fishing on Christmas and I’m wishing for you
We’re fishing on Christmas and I’m wishing for you
